System Architect

Job Responsibilities

1. Develop and enforce architecture standards and best practices to ensure security, consistency, reliability, and performance.
2. Translate business strategy and technological innovations into an architectural landscape.
3. Monitor compliance to Enterprise Architecture and Target Architecture together with business and IT.
4. Ideate, design, and build out solution architectures to enable product delivery, working with diverse stakeholder groups (internal and external) to ensure alignment to the organization’s goals and objectives.
5. Translate product vision into robust solution designs and architecture diagrams, aligned to enterprise architecture standards and guardrails in order to enable safe and fast delivery of digital and technology experiences.
6. Assess technologies and undertake research and vendor assessments in order to drive modern and effective engineering practices within squads.
7. Drive reuse of enterprise Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), data products, Microservices, and tech patterns in order to reduce dependencies and technical debt.
8. Understand Agile methodology.
9. Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, draw.io, and MS Visio.
10. Contribute to Platform, Tribe, and Chapter deliverables and governance as required, to ensure architecture translates to delivered technology builds.
