About the position
Gemcorp is looking for a Supply Chain Operations Analyst to play a key role in ensuring that a wide range of products and services are delivered to clients in Emerging Markets on time and at the correct location.
In this role, you will work closely with the Procurement team, which is responsible for sourcing products. You will play a key part in executing Purchase Orders efficiently and coordinating with suppliers worldwide. This is a hands-on position that involves working with multiple stakeholders, managing shipping documents promptly, ensuring compliance, and troubleshooting issues to improve operations.
To succeed in this role, you should have strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to multitask effectively. You will also need excellent communication, process management, and problem-solving skills to keep the supply chain running smoothly from suppliers through to clients.
Main Responsibilities
- Track orders and coordinate deliveries with suppliers, shipbrokers, import agents, inspectors, and insurers to ensure timely and successful execution of orders.
- Manage internal reports and reporting to clients, including the timely issuance of delivery reports and other official communications.
- Oversee relationships with independent inspectors to ensure product and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks, making sure all goods and services meet required standards.
- Handle shipping documentation and routing information to facilitate smooth deliveries, proactively resolving any potential issues or delays.
- Investigate and escalate operational issues, document process deviations, and drive solutions to improve supply chain efficiency.
- Coordinate tasks effectively with teams in various time zones, ensuring smooth collaboration.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in supply chain operations in a fast-paced environment. This could include managing orders for large retail companies or coordinating high-volume daily shipments. A proven record in managing supplier and client relationships is essential.
- Industry experience in pharmaceuticals or large European/US companies with S&OP processes and international quality standards is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve supply chain issues efficiently.
- Highly adaptable and proactive, with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English. Additional languages such as Portuguese, Spanish, or French are an advantage.
- Experience handling time-sensitive operations, ensuring schedules and deadlines are consistently met.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- A collaborative team player, skilled in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while providing constructive feedback.
- Quick learner, adaptable to new processes, systems, and challenges in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Excel and ERP software, with experience in analysing large data sets and generating reports.
