Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a diligent, dedicated, and detail-oriented Supply Chain Manager / Inventory Controller to join our team.

The incumbent will be responsible for demand and supply planning, monitoring inventory levels, replenishing stock as needed, managing inbound/outbound products, ensuring inventory record accuracy, conducting audits, analyzing data, and other related tasks.

Core Responsibilities / Job Description:

1. Perform demand & supply planning and forecast future needs by analyzing sales data, inventory position, market trends, and other factors.
2. Oversee the management of inventory, including stock levels, restocking, and efficient space utilization.
3. Implement inventory control processes to manage inventory carrying costs, reduce losses, and prevent stock-outs or overstock situations.
4. Ensure that checking, tracking, and recording all inbound and outbound inventory transactions are accurate and timely.
5. Ensure inventory record accuracy at all points to avoid variance between system and physical stock and improve stock visibility.
6. Manage warehouses, which includes effective space utilization, setting put-away and picking rules, and structuring zones (e.g., dispatch zone, loading docks, offloading areas, shelving/racking systems).
7. Develop a strong teamwork environment and liaise between upper management and lower staff.
8. Recruit, retire, train, lead, counsel, coach, and set job descriptions for the team.
9. Set performance expectations, assign tasks, and conduct performance evaluations of subordinates.
10. Analyze sales, purchase, and return data, develop reports based on available information, and submit reports to management for decision-making.
11. Maintain strong communication and coordination among different strategic business units (SBUs) in the GCC region and beyond.
12. Conduct periodic/random audits, develop reports based on audit findings, and submit reports to management for further review and decision-making.

Skills, Experience, and Education Required:

1. Minimum 5 years proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager / Inventory Controller or similar role.
2. Possess a university degree in Business Management with a major in Supply Chain.
3. Proficient in various ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, and MS Dynamics, particularly in inventory management, demand & supply planning, and operations management modules.
4. Ability to use advanced Excel tools in any business environment and possess presentation skills.
5. Excellent organizational, leadership, and multitasking skills.
6. Must be able to negotiate and create win-win situations with commendable communication skills.
7. Good team management, time management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in tough situations.
