Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Implement & maintain systems and procedures for planning inventory levels & replenishments through scheduling, requisitioning, and distribution of Inflight stock from suppliers to warehouses and/or caterers to ensure stock is available to support catering uplifts throughout the Emirates network.
  2. Configure supply chain processes for efficiency by analysing, negotiating, and performance-managing suppliers to improve reliability and responsiveness to the supply chain and reduce SCM cost. Works with suppliers to educate them on Emirates’s requirements for on-time in full deliveries.
  3. Audit contracted supplier locations to ensure agreed stock levels are held, and replenishment practices are in line with agreed service levels to ensure agile supply chain, managing volatility and fluctuations in demand with no impact on service levels on board flights.
  4. Collaborate with 3rd and 4th party logistics service providers (3/4PL) to meet timelines and improve SCOR Card metrics; reliability, responsiveness, asset turns, and end-to-end Supply Chain Management Cost.
  5. Monitor service providers to ensure efficient import/export and distribution of catering stocks, best logistics techniques are adopted, and requisite Service Level Agreements are met.
  6. Represent the Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning, and Logistics deliverables and requirements continuously with stakeholders such as the internal team, 3/4PL service providers, and caterers across the network.
  7. Support product launches, promotions, and ad-hoc initiatives through an understanding of integrated end-to-end Supply Chain and business drivers. Clearly articulate to the leadership risks and opportunities for projects, launches, products, and geographies.
  8. Identify needs, conceptualising and developing solutions through IT and Suppliers to optimise materials and information flow between different entities in the supply chain.
  9. Contribute data to budget-building requirements for stock purchases, obsolete stock, write-offs, and logistics costs to meet operational requirements based on reports generated.
  10. Lead S&OP meetings in collaboration with other functions, including Food, Product Development, Finance, and P&L, for developing a final agreed demand and supply plan, defining reason codes of Availability, Critical stock, Expiry Exposure, and On-Time Order Placement.
  11. Lead Monthly Demand Review Meetings with Strategic Suppliers to ensure suppliers hold contractually agreed stock holding and to ensure continuous supply to Emirates.
  12. Develop annual purchase budget in various units of measures as per demand and supply plan with submission of required space capacity to warehouse and logistics team.
  13. Ensure demand & supply plan has been locked per brand based on Lead Time and pre-defined DOS, with On-Time Order Placement for maximum availability and optimal stock level.
  14. Share Monthly Demand Planning and Forecasting KPIs, Supplier Scorecard, Non-Performing Inventory (NPI), and Provision analysis every month for the Alcoholic Beverages function, while ensuring constructive relationships with internal departments and suppliers.
