The International Supply Chain Manager will oversee the global logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of mobile devices, IT equipment, and related technology products to clients worldwide. This role requires managing end-to-end supply chain processes, coordinating with vendors, and working closely with internal teams to meet client expectations and optimize cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of international customs documentation and be adept at resolving courier issues in different countries.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Logistics Coordination: Manage international logistics for delivering mobile devices, IT equipment, and related products to clients across multiple regions. Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and local delivery partners to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries. Monitor shipping and delivery schedules, tracking shipments and addressing any issues that arise.
Customs Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all necessary customs documents are prepared and submitted accurately, including invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and import/export declarations. Stay up-to-date with country-specific customs requirements, ensuring smooth customs clearance for all shipments. Work closely with customs brokers to navigate international customs procedures efficiently and avoid delays.
Courier and Country-Specific Issue Resolution: Address courier issues in different countries, including shipment delays, lost packages, and regulatory challenges. Develop and implement solutions to resolve country-specific logistics challenges by liaising with couriers, freight forwarders, and local authorities. Maintain relationships with international courier companies to ensure quick resolution of any delivery problems.
Vendor and Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers and vendors to ensure a smooth supply chain process. Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements with logistics providers and ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
Inventory and Warehouse Management: Oversee international inventory levels, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained to meet client demands. Coordinate with regional warehouse teams to manage storage, handling, and dispatch of equipment.
Supply Chain Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs in the supply chain. Analyze data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supply chain performance and drive continuous improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including sales, IT, and project management to align supply chain operations with client requirements. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of deliveries and any potential risks or delays.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including customs requirements, duties, and tariffs. Identify and mitigate risks related to global supply chain operations, ensuring business continuity and minimizing disruptions.
Client Interaction: Serve as the point of contact for global clients regarding supply chain-related queries and ensure high levels of client satisfaction. Address client concerns about delivery timelines, and manage expectations on delivery schedules.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in international supply chain or logistics management.
Strong understanding of global logistics, customs documentation, and international trade regulations.
In-depth knowledge of customs processes and the ability to handle country-specific courier issues efficiently.
Experience managing inventory and working with warehouse and distribution teams.
Excellent negotiation skills and experience working with global vendors and logistics providers.
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and work with global clients.
Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
