Supervisor, Mechanical Maintenance

The jobholder is responsible to supervise, coordinate, troubleshoot lead and administrate the Mechanical Maintenance team of Senior Technicians, composed by direct hires and contractors, doing installation and commissioning of equipment and execution of Predictive, Preventive, Proactive and Corrective Maintenance works on a wide range of rotating, static plant equipment and piping systems ensuring they are performed safely in time, with the required quality and in a manner to comply with all applicable local laws and regulations in accordance with company guidelines and HSE policy and procedures.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Conduct equipment troubleshooting, decide on the corrective action and ensures that the right maintenance is done on the equipment needing repairing.
2. Supervision of installation, repairing and maintenance jobs on a wide variety of equipment and systems covering all plants on site.
3. Monitor the work execution checking the quality and following up the work progress ensuring the completion on time.
4. Monitor and inspect the work of maintenance contractors conducting works on the plant to ensure compliance with specified terms and parameters.
5. Ensure that the quality procedures, vendor/ OEM instructions, HSE requirements, etc. are available & followed by the job execution group.
6. Inspect completed jobs for conformity to statutory and Company standards and regulations.
7. Regularly inspect the workshops and other workplaces used by his team looking for a good housekeeping and a proper organization.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

1. Diploma or equivalent technical qualifications in Mechanical discipline.
2. Minimum of 6 - 9 years of relevant experience in installation, repair, testing and maintenance of a wide range equipment items of production facilities in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
3. Maintenance and troubleshooting experience on Rotating & Static Equipment in Oil & Gas.
4. Hands on SAP basic work management operations related to maintenance.
5. Hands on the documentation and reporting procedures for abnormal conditions.
6. Working knowledge on Operation & Maintenance manuals and engineering documents/drawings to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and to determine optimum equipment functioning.
7. Ability to lead and communicate to a team of multi-cultural, multi-national personnels. Professional Certifications.
