Identify the needs of the customer and recommend a range of styles/services/products that are appropriate.
Consult and provide inputs at every stage of the styling process, i.e. advising on the colour, style, hair type, treatments, etc.
Cut, trim and style the hair of customers.
Provide hair coloration services ranging from basic to artistic colorations and highlights.
Do permanent straightening/wave using specialized products.
Maintain relationships with key customers and records of what has been used for them such as hair color shade or permanent wave formula.
Stay up to date on the latest styles/trends. Also have in-depth knowledge of the products that are used or for sale in the salon.
Maintain personal grooming standards and the cleanliness and hygiene of the salon at all times.
Coordinate with receptionists to have maximum number of appointments per day.
Guide and supervise the hair and salon assistants to ensure that they maintain the salon’s standards.

2. Fashion Styling for Editorial/Commercial Work
Photo shoot styling: Collaborate with photographers, makeup artists, and models for editorial shoots, fashion campaigns, and advertisements. This involves curating outfits, accessories, and sometimes hair and makeup to create a cohesive look.
Fashion shows: Help prepare models and performers for runway shows, choosing and organizing outfits, and ensuring the proper presentation of the designs.
Brand representation: Work with brands or designers to represent their clothing lines in an aesthetically pleasing way that aligns with the brand’s identity.
Creative direction: Assist with the overall creative direction for shoots or campaigns, helping to determine themes, color palettes, and moods for fashion shoots.
3. Trend Forecasting and Fashion Consulting
Trend spotting: Stay updated on current fashion trends, popular styles, colors, and fabric choices to ensure recommendations are modern and on-trend.
Client consulting: Advise clients on what styles or trends would suit them best, based on their body type, skin tone, or individual preferences.
Fashion forecasting: Analyze upcoming trends and predict what will be in style for future seasons to prepare ahead for clients or fashion campaigns.
4. Event Styling
Special occasions: Help clients prepare for special events, such as weddings, galas, red carpet events, or parties, ensuring they look fashionable and well put-together.
