Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer for site supervision, project management, and technical support in the construction and engineering field. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction and implementation of structural designs on-site, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with all technical specifications and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the execution of structural work on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
2. Conduct site inspections, monitor the quality of construction, and verify that work is progressing according to the approved structural drawings and specifications.
3. Collaborate closely with contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to resolve any on-site issues and provide technical guidance as needed.
4. Perform daily site visits to review the progress of work, review materials, and ensure the correct implementation of construction procedures.
5. Review shop drawings and submittals, providing technical feedback and ensuring they meet project requirements.
6. Prepare and submit regular reports on the status of construction activities, progress, and any issues encountered on-site.
7. Coordinate with the design team to ensure that structural designs are constructible and provide feedback on potential improvements.
8. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on the construction site.
9. Review and approve contractor requests for changes, variations, or deviations from the original plans.
10. Provide technical support during inspections by authorities or third-party evaluators.
11. Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and ensure proper documentation for the final project handover.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
2. Proven experience of 7 years in structural engineering and site supervision for construction projects.
3. Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, design, and materials.
4. Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and construction standards.
5. Proficiency in structural design software (AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ETABS, etc.).
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with experience working alongside contractors and other project teams.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
9. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations on construction sites.

Additional Requirements:

1. Site-based presence is required for the duration of the project.
2. Ability to travel to different project locations as required.
