Overview of the role:
Group Technologies and Digital Platforms drives the technology and digital transformation agenda for the group. The Strategy Manager is a very important role to help drive the strategic planning process in Group Technology and Digital Platforms and plays a key role in helping drive the strategic priorities for the function. The role will also help to enable a value-driven approach to driving key priorities, that emphasizes collaboration, speed, and efficiency and applied across all areas of the organization.
The key elements of the role include:
- Ensure quality of analysis, activities, and deliverables for strategic initiatives, including the development and validation of strategic plans and detailed transformation plans.
- Help syndicate analysis and results with all stakeholders.
- Ongoing research and analysis on the evolving technology landscape with assessment of relevance for our businesses; collaborate with the Strategic partnership team to work with external partners on innovation ideation.
- Provide inputs to business case development for key strategic initiatives.
- Support on initiatives related to talent strategy for Group technology.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to proactively drive momentum of the transformation initiatives.
What you will do:
- Support with the annual strategy cycle and building out of strategic initiatives with the Group Technology & Digital Leadership stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders & external partners to drive the strategic agenda.
- Lead collection and organization of relevant data for initiative planning and analysis.
- Support development of business cases by analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations.
- Help define financial and non-financial impact of initiatives and projects.
Governance and planning:
- Support the Technology strategy leadership in the group technology and digital governance process and related activities.
- Ongoing tracking of progress of key initiatives which are part of the strategic roadmap.
- Support for development of business cases by analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations.
- Implement best practice standards in reporting & governance.
- Support preparation of materials for senior stakeholder reviews.
Organizational / People initiatives:
- Support the Strategy director and HR business partner in Group Technology talent strategy and planning initiatives.
- Monitor progress of impact planning initiatives.
- Support GTDP leadership and HR in relevant people initiatives.
Required Skills to be successful:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in consultancy or big 4 as strategy manager.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience in technology or digital transformation.

- A business or technical degree from a reputable institute.
- This position requires strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity around ever-evolving digital/technology areas, and hands-on experience in strategic analysis/strategy consulting. Successful candidates generally have 5-8 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years of strategy/strategy consulting experience (MANDATORY).
- Experience in digital strategy, technology strategy, and value assessment & benefits realization is preferred.
