Dubai Future Foundation recently launched Sandbox Dubai, a Regulatory Sandbox that centers around key themes such as Artificial Intelligence, Health Technology, Green Technology, and Real Estate Technology. In the broader context of Sandbox Dubai, the Strategy & Insight Analyst reports to the Senior Strategy and Policy Manager of Sandbox Dubai and will collaborate closely with the Sandbox team leads in Policy, Partnerships and Operations.

Strategy & Insights Analyst

As part of the Sandbox Dubai team, the Strategy & Insight Analyst will work closely with the Senior Strategy and Policy Manager and Senior Strategic Partnership Manager to support strategic, data-driven initiatives. This role is central to analyzing industry trends, supporting sandbox projects, and helping define the framework for regulatory innovation across priority sectors.

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Support

• Demand Sensing and Global Trends: Assist in conducting industry analysis and monitor international regulatory and innovation trends in key priority sectors. Use insights from global and local contexts to enhance the design of sandbox initiatives and identify opportunities for Dubai.
• Performance Tracking: Support the development of sandbox KPIs and assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting to measure Sandbox performance.
• Global Trend Monitoring: Track international regulatory and innovation trends in key priority sectors to enhance the design of future sandbox initiatives and connect global themes/trends with opportunities for Dubai.

• Data Analysis: Collaborate with project managers to collect, organize, and analyze data related to sandbox experiments, participant performance, and industry benchmarks.
• Reporting and insights: Prepare comprehensive reports on sandbox experiments, including summary reports highlighting trends, insights, and key metrics for senior team members.

• Partnership Mapping and Analysis: Conduct analysis of potential partners, including government agencies, technology providers, startups, and international organizations. Create prioritization matrices based on factors like expertise, alignment with Sandbox Dubai's objectives, and mutual benefits.
• Collaboration Models and Proposals: Propose models for partnerships, such as co-hosted workshops, joint thematic programs, or knowledge-sharing agreements. Collaborate with Policy and Legal Teams to draft partnership proposals and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). Design and maintain a partnership tracker to monitor collaborations, track deliverables, and evaluate outcomes using predefined KPIs. Provide periodic updates to leadership on partnership progress and impact.

• Team Coordination: Work closely with legal, policy, strategy, and partnerships teams to ensure project compliance and cross-sector success. Support outreach event planning with the partnerships team and coordinate compliance-related efforts with legal teams.
• Stakeholder Management: Assist in managing external resources, including consultants and advisors, ensuring alignment with Sandbox Dubai's strategic goals.
• Thought Leadership and Internal Development: Contribute to the development of policy proposals, regulatory models, and whitepapers. Support process improvements and knowledge development to enhance sandbox operations.

Who we are looking for

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, or Law. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in strategy, consulting, macroeconomic analysis, or a general strategic role, with a proven ability to perform quantitative analysis and strategic planning.
3. Industry Expertise: Experience working with government agencies, international organizations, or technology hubs is desired. Experience in one or more of the key priority thematic areas (AI/Technology, Healthcare, Infrastructure/Real Estate, or Sustainability) is strongly preferred.
4. Skills required: Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including data modeling and impact assessment, as well as demonstrated ability to think strategically and work collaboratively as part of a team.
5. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively engage multidisciplinary teams. Able to clearly articulate insights and impact from analysis during updates to Sandbox and DFF leadership as well as external stakeholders.
6. Languages: Fluent in reading, writing & presenting in both Arabic & English.
7. Mindset: Agile, proactive, self-driven, and ready to work independently or as part of a collaborative team, and ability to drive cross-functional collaboration, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
