The Strategic Sourcing Manager GCC will support our fast-evolving procurement synergies and leveraging activities within GCC with key focus on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s rapidly growing portfolio. The selected candidate will work within RHG Corporate Strategic Sourcing Organization, reporting to the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager - Middle East & Africa and will be based in Dubai, UAE.
The selected candidate will manage the development and implementation of Market-Focused Procurement, Strategic Sourcing synergies and leveraging activities within GCC to deliver financial and non-financial benefits while ensuring compliance with RHG Policies and Processes.
This is a fast-paced, multi-dimensional role and to be considered for this position you need to have comprehensive knowledge of GCC market with emphasis on KSA in terms of local and international sourcing, procurement, logistics and supply chain management.
You need to have solid project management capabilities, good understanding of financial and accounting practices, ability to handle advanced data analytics as well as be a keen negotiator and excellent communicator.
The selected candidate should also be able to form successful business relationships with new and existing Vendors to deliver enhanced value to RHG portfolio stakeholders in GCC.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a member of the MEA Strategic Sourcing team and contribute actively to the transformation of the function within GCC with a primary focus on cost, supply reliability and overall effectiveness.
Define, manage, and implement effective market-focused sourcing strategies for different types of goods and services within GCC.
Analyse market-specific controllable spend data to demonstrate meaningful findings with the aim of identifying synergies and leveraging opportunities within GCC.
Actively engage cross-functionally and with local business leaders as a strategic partner to improve commercial arrangements with vendors and service providers while enhancing customer experience, product quality and productivity with a focus on total cost of ownership and associated risks.
Manage the market-focused Vendors’ selection and contracting process as per RHG Policy, maximizing Sourcing Value Contribution and enhancing contract utilization.
Define and measure vendor KPI parameters to address areas of potential improvement and explore possible innovations.
Responsible for the coaching, development, deployment, and performance management of local Property Procurement Resources within GCC.
Responsible for the preparation of E-Procurement events (RFIs, RFPs, Contracting and Organization of project approval documents) for GCC.
Adopt a culture of value engineering and continuous improvement in all commercial negotiations.
Support the Pre-Opening Process for RHG GCC Portfolio and establish closer partnership with the relevant teams to maximize utilization of corporate and local vendors.
Develop industry, product, and supply base knowledge, including key cost drivers; form strategic alliances with key local and international vendors to better understand their supply chain qualifications.
Review and analyse purchase requisitions, investigate and develop sources of supplies, prepare RFQ specifications, issue RFQ requests and review quotations.
Ensure all company and statutory policies and procedures are complied with both internally and externally.
Actively pursue continuous improvement in purchasing procedures and standard work to achieve operational excellence.
Manage and maintain effective communication with all internal and external partners, such as vendors, members of the Management team, Manufacturing Operations, logistics etc. to solve problems and ensure high quality, reliable sources of supply and information.
Effectively negotiate pricing, contracts, and SLAs with Vendors to ensure optimum costs and reliable supply according to the Corporate Policies and Procedures for RHG.
Work very closely with the Corporate Strategic Sourcing team to facilitate the implementation of Corporate agreements in GCC or identify local alternatives where feasible.
Maintain confidential information related to all activities.
Prepare regular reports on performance metrics.
Desired candidate profile
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or other relevant fields.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Procurement & SCM roles.
Strong Analytical Skills, Lean Six Sigma experience and certification is a plus.
Good command of written and verbal business communication in English is a must, Arabic is a plus.
Excellent knowledge and application of MS Excel functions with the ability to organize and work with large data sets.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Natural sense of organization, effective planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proactive approach to meeting deadlines and objectives.
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team but also alone.
