Strategic Account Manager

Responsibilities

• Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and SoW growth actions.
• Designing and implementing a strategic business plan expanding the partnership.
• Understanding key business drivers, including emerging risks (e.g., sustainability, digital, cybersecurity), and interpreting impacts and opportunities for ABB.
• Participating in developing sales strategies by providing insights into the customer's current and long-term plans.
• Defining and proposing sales targets for the account, ensuring their achievement through structured follow-up across divisions and countries.
• Selling products, solutions, and services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets.
• Ensuring a coordinated sales approach adding value for both the customer and ABB.
• Monitoring competitors' activities and formulating appropriate response strategies.
• Providing input on market price developments.
• Driving the application of standardized marketing and sales processes and tools (e.g., Salesforce, account plans).

Qualifications For The Role

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 10 years of experience in Account Management within the Energy industry.
• Experience in portfolio management, business strategy, and market intelligence.
• Strong understanding of go-to-market strategies and customer experience success.
• Knowledge of regulation and legal compliance, pricing excellence, and budget and performance targets.
• Expertise in account management, business development, and sales enablement.
• Familiarity with general sales practices, solution/application sales engineering, and channel sales.
• Proficiency in contract and risk management.
• Excellent leadership and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to ABB's core values, safety, and integrity standards.
• Arabic speaking language essential for stakeholders' management.
