Job description

We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Shop Assistant at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

As a key member of our retail team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to travelers and assisting with the day-to-day operations of our retail shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, recommendations, and purchases, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment, including product displays and merchandising.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit card payments, and refunds.
  • Monitor stock levels and replenish merchandise on the shop floor as needed to ensure availability and visibility of products.
  • Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries, checking the quality and quantity of goods received, and updating inventory records.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the retail shop.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
  • Stay informed about product features, promotions, and special offers to effectively communicate information to customers.
  • Assist with occasional tasks such as store opening and closing procedures, as well as periodic stock takes and inventory counts.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in retail or customer service roles is preferred.
  • Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays based on the needs of the business.
  • Knowledge of retail operations and familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language skills (such as Arabic, Hindi, Tagalog, etc.) are advantageous.
  • Must be eligible to work at Abu Dhabi International Airport and possess any required security clearances.
