Ensuring proper authorization for all goods entering the hotel.
Inspecting all incoming goods to ensure that quantity, quality, price, and all other specifications are adhered to.
Ensure that all documents and material received are of satisfactory quality.
Record shortages and reject damaged items, responsible for monitoring the returns process.
Coordinate with departments and suppliers if items don't arrive when expected.
Prepare daily receiving report summaries and report on any variances immediately.
Check and input Food and Beverage and General store purchases into the hotel inventory system.
Ensure the goods are secured and prompt transfer.
Ensure that goods in the receiving area are secure at all times.
Ensure that Occupational Health and Safety requirements are observed, maintained, and enforced.
Participate in taking inventory, maintain storage area, organize and place stock on shelves, ensuring the area is secure at all times.
Assist Storekeeper for issuance during the operation, assist with input onto the stores computer, and occasionally place purchase orders on the instruction of the Storekeeper or handle the store in his absence.
Storekeeper:
Replenish supply inventories following established guidelines of the company.
Maintain a neat, clean, and safe working environment as per government regulations.
Manage the store layout.
Supervise other staff members and keep a record of sales.
Receive, upload, and shelf all supplies.
Perform stock-related duties like returning, packing, labeling, and pricing goods.
Inspect deliveries for discrepancies or damage.
Report damaged inventories for recordkeeping and reimbursement.
Rotate stock and dispose of surplus and expired quantities.
Coordinate and handle freight and movement of equipment.
Keep an organized allocation of inventory placed in the warehouse and store.
Cross-verify the monthly report at the end of each month.
Ensure proper completion of documentation to place an order and make a purchase.
Generate a material received report (MRR) timely.
Ensure storage of goods follows the first in, first out (FIFO) method.
Qualifications:
Minimum 12 years of experience.
Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
