The Senior Rolling Stock Engineer oversees the design review and construction supervision of rolling stock. This role involves ensuring compliance with project requirements and coordinating with various teams. Overall 10-15 years’ experience in relevant discipline.
Oversee the design review and integration of rolling stock.
Ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Manage and conduct testing and commissioning of rolling stock by D&B contractors.
Coordinate with signaling, telecommunications, and power supply teams.
Provide technical support and training to maintenance teams.
Review and approve technical designs and specifications.
Conduct site inspections and assessments.
Troubleshoot and resolve rolling stock issues.
Prepare and present rolling stock reports.
Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure system performance.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Extensive experience in rolling stock engineering.
Knowledge of rolling stock systems and industry standards.
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in rolling stock specific engineering.
Strong project management and technical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
Experience with rail vehicle systems.
Familiarity with rolling stock software tools.
Ability to manage complex projects and deadlines.
