Job description

As a Stock Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining inventory levels in a fast-paced environment, ensuring stock accuracy and availability. The successful team member will have a proven track record in stock management, with a keen eye for detail to minimize discrepancies and ensure efficient stock flow. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to inventory control. Team members must possess strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Stock List Management

  1. Perform two daily stock list updates (morning & afternoon).
  2. Implement a tracking system to monitor stock movements.
  3. Conduct a full stock check every Thursday.
  4. Key Result: Achieve 100% stock tracking accuracy with consistent updates.
  5. Ensure all bike and frame display spots are fully stocked at all times.
  6. Maintain a backup of pre-built bikes for quick availability.
  7. Regularly coordinate display strategy with management.
  8. Ensure proper bike setup, including:
    1. Seat posts correctly placed
    2. Crank sets installed
    3. Gears correctly set
    4. Updated tags and pricing
    5. Charged electronic components
    6. Ensure offer tags are current and accurate
  9. Key Result: Maintain a fully stocked and organized shop floor with bikes in perfect condition.

Preloved Stock Management

  1. Use the Preloved Tracker to monitor and list all preloved stock.
  2. Ensure 100% of preloved bikes and frames are listed online.
  3. Actively market preloved stock across platforms (eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Dubizzle, etc.).
  4. Key Result: All preloved stock is accurately tracked, priced, and actively marketed.
  5. Work with the workshop to inspect 1-2 incomplete bikes or frames per day.
  6. Ensure technicians review missing parts reports for accuracy.
  7. Provide updated information to the warranty department.
  8. Activate completed bikes and frames for sale.
  9. Key Result: Reduce incomplete stock by ensuring proper tracking, fast repairs, and quick activation.

Qualifications & Bicycle Industry Knowledge:

  1. Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, or a related role.
  2. Strong understanding of bicycle components, repairs, and maintenance.
  3. Proficiency in using stock tracking systems and digital inventory platforms.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  5. Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive mindset.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail and workshop environment.
  7. Customer service experience and ability to work collaboratively with different departments.
