Responsibilities

Are you a social media mastermind who knows how to spark conversations, build communities, and drive real impact? We're looking for a Senior Social Media Strategist to take our brand to new heights across the UAE/MENA region.

In this role, you'll craft and execute bold social media strategies that boost brand awareness, engagement, lead generation and conversions. Leading a dynamic team of analysts, videographers, and creatives, you'll ensure our content is not only high-quality but also culturally relevant and trend-setting.

Requirements

1. Strategic Leadership & Planning:

1. Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Capital.com 's overall marketing objectives for the UAE/MENA region.
2. Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices within the financial services industry in the region.
3. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns and initiatives, providing regular reports and insights to the Head of Marketing.
4. Establish and maintain a consistent brand tone of voice and messaging across all social media platforms, ensuring alignment with Capital.com 's global brand guidelines and regional nuances.
5. Develop and manage the social media budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI.
6. Implement a crisis communication plan for social media, ensuring timely and effective responses to any negative sentiment or issues.

2. Content Creation & Management:

1. Oversee the creation of engaging and relevant content across various social media platforms, including text, animations, images, videos, and interactive content.
2. Develop and manage a comprehensive social media calendar, ensuring consistent posting schedules and timely delivery of content.
3. Lead the production of high-quality video content, working closely with videographers and creative resources to ensure impactful storytelling.
4. Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media content with broader marketing initiatives and brand campaigns.
5. Ensure all content is culturally relevant and compliant with local regulations and sensitivities within the UAE/MENA region.
6. Explore and implement innovative social media formats and features to enhance engagement and reach.

3. Team Management & Development:

1. Lead and mentor a team of social media analysts, videographers, and creative resources, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
2. Provide regular feedback and performance reviews, identifying areas for improvement and professional development.
3. Recruit, train, and onboard new team members as needed, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
4. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure efficient workflow management.
5. Build a positive team morale and promote a culture of creativity and innovation.

4. Community Management & Engagement:

1. Develop and implement strategies to build and engage a strong online community across social media platforms.
2. Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and messages, responding promptly and professionally.
3. Identify and engage with key influencers and thought leaders in the financial services industry within the region.
4. Run social media contests, giveaways, and other interactive campaigns to drive engagement and brand awareness.
5. Analyze community feedback and sentiment to identify areas for improvement and inform future content and strategies.

5. Analytics & Reporting:

1. Utilize social media analytics tools to track and measure the performance of social media campaigns and initiatives.
2. Generate regular reports and dashboards, providing insights into key metrics and trends.
3. Analyze data to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
4. Present findings and recommendations to the Head of Marketing and other stakeholders to improve conversions and engagement.
5. Stay up to date on the latest social media analytics tools and techniques.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 7+ years of experience in social media marketing, with a proven track record of success in the UAE/MENA region.
3. Strong understanding of the financial services industry and the online trading landscape.
4. Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms relevant to the region.
5. Proven experience in leading and managing a team of social media professionals.
6. Strong analytical skills and experience in using social media analytics tools.
7. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Fluency in English and Arabic is highly preferred.
10. Knowledge of local cultural nuances and sensitivities within the UAE/MENA region.
11. Experience in social media advertising and paid social campaigns.
12. Experience with content creation tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software).

Desired Skills:

1. Strong understanding of SEO and SEM principles.
2. Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms.
3. Knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrency markets.
4. Existing network of relevant influencers and media contacts in the region.
