Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and dynamic Sales Engineer / Sr. Sales Engineer to join our team. The Sales Engineer / Sr. Sales Engineer is responsible for the strategic planning, management, and execution of HVAC systems across the organization. This role involves leading a team of HVAC professionals, ensuring system reliability and efficiency, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Own the P&L responsibility of HVAC Business Unit of Gerab Energy System. Build a reputed brand recall and business portfolio by developing in-house products and partnering with internationally recognized suppliers in the HVAC industry.

Product Portfolio and Business Strategy

Work closely with the Executive Director to develop long/short-term strategies to guide the annual operating budgets for the Lighting and Solar business.

Develop a strategic roadmap for GES and link it to annual business plans in line with market reality and realistic goals to achieve.

Revenue, Gross Margin (P&L) Responsibility

Prepare business plans, budgets, and projections in collaboration with the Executive Director to meet the business objectives of the Division.

Responsible for managing the turnover, gross margins, and profitability as per yearly budgets.

Sales and Business Development

Remain up-to-date with innovations and new developments in the Lighting and Solar industry to identify major business development opportunities.

Locate potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discover and explore opportunities in the Lighting and Solar equipment field.

Lead the Sales Team to drive sales of HVAC division products and solutions in the UAE and GCC by:

  1. Expanding sales network
  2. Ensuring high levels of customer service
  3. Retaining the existing business

Monitor sales volume, selling price, supply and demand trends, and competitor’s sales strategies to meet sales targets.

Monitor monthly and quarterly analysis, including performance toward sales plan, order and deal size analysis, and lead-to-sales performance.

Supplier Management

Identify new suppliers in the different segments of the Lighting and Solar business.

Develop a partnership with innovative Technology Providers in Energy Efficient Luminaires and their Controls.

Manage supplier relationships with existing suppliers through joint business planning.

Negotiate effectively with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing of products and solutions to maximize each project order's profitability.

Project Implementation Management

Work with the Sales and technical team to offer optimal lighting and solar solutions based on the client's needs.

Create demos and POC for the various offerings of HVAC solutions to demonstrate the capabilities and benefits to close sizable project orders.

Conduct site surveys, if required, to analyze and implement the best possible solution and present deal models to top management.

Meticulously define a project, estimate resource requirements, and drive a project plan through to completion.

People Management

Recruit and retain a team of technically competent engineers and technicians for the HVAC division.

Develop the HVAC division team by continuously training them on new products, selling, and project implementation skills.

Reporting

Responsible for conducting technical, commercial, and contractual evaluations of customized solutions with appropriate pricing in proposals/offers to the clients.

The Sales Engineer has to network with top management of various ESCOs, building owners' associations, and large energy-intensive facilities and industries to offer energy-saving solutions.

Identify and develop a portfolio of Energy Saving Solutions using the company’s products or partnering with internationally recognized suppliers and formulate a plan for successfully implementing these solutions.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with customers to define requirements, particularly for complex systems, and interact with an internal team or subcontractors to execute projects to fulfill those requirements.

High level of verbal/written communication and presentation skills. Ability to communicate complex, strategic, technical, financial, and other issues internally and with customers at a senior level.

Requirements:

Overall 5-8 yrs. of experience in the industry in an HVAC / Energy industry.

Supporting Business Development/Sales team in building proposal presentations and responses to RFI/RFP/RFQ for customers across solutions/industries and good knowledge of the bid process.

Experience in assessing and delivering business case solutions, with good understanding of Energy Saving related ROI modelling.

Business experience, with a proven track record of defining customer needs, establishing competitive positioning and formulating solutions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month

License/Certification:

  • UAE Driver's license (Preferred)
