Vacancy:

Gerab National Enterprises is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer / Asst Manager Sales - Civil & Power. Overall sales responsibility for developing the current civil & infrastructure business by managing the entire value chain of sales such as prospecting, enquiry management, negotiations, order execution, and order closure for the respective territories. Manage efficiently the process of designing solutions for projects with a view to maximize Gerab’s value-added service to end consumers. Generate new strategic plans, build a healthy pipeline, and introduce new products and vendors to the organization in the same sector.

  1. Increase market share by introducing new customers and developing current customers in the organization.
  2. Ensure registering our company in all vendor lists & visiting consultants to update specs to meet our products range.
  3. Build a healthy pipeline.

Sales Targets and Objectives

Devising sales strategies and tactics to achieve set targets for the region to meet top and bottom lines.

Techno Commercial Evaluations and Negotiations

  1. Coordinate with the procurement division to negotiate effectively with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing of products/projects to maximize profitability on orders.
  2. Coordinate with clients for technical clarifications and requirements.

Customer Relationship

  1. Manage key relationships with customers and partners for the assigned region.
  2. Manage sustainable long-term relationships with customers through regular communication and personal visits.
  3. Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement in business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.

Reports

Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate departmental reports to highlight departmental performance to senior management and take necessary corrective actions wherever required.

Contracts

  1. Follow-up and negotiate with clients for submitted proposals and answer their technical and commercial clarifications after review and discussions with respective departments.
  2. Review orders and ensure that orders received are in line with GNE’s offer and information in the database.
  3. Conduct in-depth analysis of all contracts/POs and agreements to identify the most appropriate terms and conditions consistent with Gerab Policies.

Offer/Quotation Process

  1. Register and log all inquiries received in GNE’s Oracle database.
  2. Review, evaluate, and acknowledge requests for proposals and tender documents within 24 hours.
  3. Coordinate with the Quality Control department for technical queries and clarifications; and with the Procurement Department to obtain required quotations in a timely manner.
  4. Prepare costing documents and competitive quotations in line with client requirements and market practices while adhering to the Company’s policies.
  5. Coordinate with all relevant departments to ensure that proposals prepared for inquiries and tenders comply with the required terms and conditions.
  6. Coordinate with all relevant departments to ensure that all contracts are executed as per contract and project stipulations and meet the milestones.
  7. Coordinate with clients for all Purchase Orders related issues, including Material Test Certificate approval and delivery schedules.
  8. Inform Project Managers/Expeditors about project specifications and arrange bi-weekly status to monitor and track projects.
  9. Follow-up with Finance and Accounts department on submission of Pro-forma Invoice/Bank Guarantee to clients as required.
  10. Submission of documents for payment and follow-up for overdue invoices with clients.
  11. Ensure proper and timely follow-up of payments due from clients by monitoring and coordinating with finance and accounts.

People Management

Develop team members through communication and administration of company policies to the team members.

The main challenges faced by this role are:

  1. Build customer base in the commercially competitive market.
  2. Payment issues due to market conditions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Minimum sales experience of 6-8 years in construction and infrastructure / Power, Desalination & water treatment piping & valves industry.
  2. Should be adept at technical aspects of process piping and allied products.
  3. Knowledge of International markets and cultural sensitivities while dealing with Suppliers and Gerab’s International offices.
