Sr Safety Officer

We are seeking a highly qualified Sr. Safety Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and contractors.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local and international safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and develop preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
• Provide safety training and education to employees at all levels of the organization.
• Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to minimize workplace hazards.
• Manage emergency response planning and coordinate drills to ensure preparedness.
• Analyze safety data and prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory agencies.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and best practices, ensuring organizational compliance.
• Collaborate with department heads to integrate safety protocols into daily operations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related matters with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in safety management, preferably in industrial or construction settings.
• In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Proficiency in risk assessment, safety audits, and incident investigation techniques.
• Strong understanding of UAE labor laws and safety regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
• Experience with emergency response planning and implementation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
