Job Summary:

The Senior Operations Manager will oversee and ensure the seamless day-to-day operations of the Free Zone (FZ) in coordination with the line manager. This role requires strong leadership, coordination with governmental projects, technical infrastructure monitoring, and process improvement to drive efficiency. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of free zone regulations and operational processes, along with a proven ability to lead and develop teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the daily FZ operations as agreed with the line manager, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
• Supervise the FZ operations team, providing guidance and support when needed.
• Collaborate with government entities on projects such as ESR, DFZC, and TEC, ensuring timely submission of requirements.
• Monitor and assess the technical operating infrastructure, working closely with the IT team during BRD and UAT sessions to enhance system functionality.
• Serve as the key liaison between internal DWTC stakeholders to ensure requests are addressed promptly and accurately.
• Assist the line manager in maintaining up-to-date regulations, guidelines, and laws related to free zone licensing.
• Support strategic process improvements to optimize operational efficiency.
• Facilitate team development by transferring knowledge and building capabilities within the team.
• Handle other tasks assigned by the line manager, maintaining discretion and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Free Zone operations, with in-house experience in the UAE/GCC preferred.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of computer systems and reporting tools.
• Training: Proven ability to deliver awareness sessions or internal training on new processes.
