Sr Instrumentation Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Complete command on Piping and Instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), Instrument tagging, interlocks, PID loops, Split range, Cascade loops etc.
• Prepare Instrument Index and IO list based on project P&IDs.
• Selection of Instruments, Flow meters, valves etc.
• Prepare Instrument Datasheet, Control valve Datasheets, Shutdown / Blowdown valve Datasheet, On-Off valve Datasheet, MOV Datasheet, PSV Datasheet, PRV Datasheet etc.
• Design and prepare Hookup drawings, JB Interconnection drawings, Cable Block diagrams, Instrument & JB location layouts, Termination & Wiring diagrams, Instrument Cable Routing layouts, Cable Block Diagrams, Loop Diagrams etc.
• Prepare Junction box and Gland Datasheets.
• Familiar with International Standards: IEC, AGA, ISO, ASME, ASTM etc.
• Familiar with NEMA & IP protections.
• Well-known with hazardous area classifications layouts and assign ATEX ratings to Instruments, valves.
• Prepare logic diagrams, Cause & Effect matrix, Control Narrative etc.
• Prepare Fire and Gas detector Datasheets, F&G layouts, F&G Mapping Study.
• Participate in HAZOP, SIL study and other HSE related studies and Workshops.
• Able to provide I&C input in 3D model of plant.
• Prepare Specification of DCS and ESD System (ICSS).
• Prepare Material Requisition, MTO and BOQ.
• Prepare Tender package for I&C scope.
• Evaluate Technical bids and prepare TBE, Comparative Statement.
• Assist in preparation of estimates for bid proposals, including technical query reviews, statements and man-hour estimates.
• Fully familiar with the project scope of work, specifications, schedule and all inter-discipline requirements; including identifying concerns as early as practicable and taking appropriate initiatives to address the issues.
