Amazon Devices is an inventive research and development company that designs and engineers high-profile devices like the Kindle family of products, Fire Tablets, Fire TV, Health Wellness, Amazon Echo & Astro products. We are looking for exceptional scientists to join our Applied Science team and help develop the next generation of edge models, and optimize them while doing co-designed with custom ML HW based on a revolutionary architecture. Key Job Responsibilities

What will you do?

1. Developing End to End pipelines from model training to model running on device with exception automation.
2. Building tools and dashboards to auto test these pipelines and provide health metrics.
3. Scaling to more H100 clusters, Trainiums, and test frameworks like Pytorch Lightning.
4. Simplifying and reinventing systems, processes, and tools to make ML pipelines better for our Scientists, System Integration teams, Device OS teams.
5. Investigating technical issues scientifically and thoroughly, and assist in fixing them so they don't come back.
6. Providing technical solutions to real business problems in a global organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with distributed systems at scale.
