Job Responsibilities:

1. Developing eCommerce sites on BigCommerce platform.
2. Developing custom BigCommerce themes.
3. Migrating websites from other eCommerce platforms to BigCommerce.
4. Extending BigCommerce functionalities to next level using storefront APIs, Stencil util-API and Custom Widget.
5. Integrating third party and platform supported apps in the sites.
6. Setting up payment integration, shipping methods and taxes in BigCommerce platform.
7. Optimizing page speed of BigCommerce Sites.
8. Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in BigCommerce sites.
9. Transforming complex PSD layouts into pixel-perfect presentation layer HTML5/CSS3 templates.
10. Working with version control systems such as Github and Bitbucket.
11. Working with CICD pipelines.
12. Producing high-quality work with a strong focus on detail.

Job Requirements:

1. Strong knowledge of BigCommerce platform.
2. An expertise in BigCommerce theme development and customization.
3. Expert level knowledge of BigCommerce Stencil framework (handlebars, front matters etc).
4. Comfortability working with Storefront APIs and Stencil util-APIs.
5. Knowledge on SCSS / SASS or another CSS pre-processor.
6. Knowledge on Build, dependency management and version control tools & workflows such as npm, Yarn, Gulp, Gitflow.
7. Strong understanding of responsive web design techniques.
8. Understanding of W3C web standards/semantics and accessibility guidelines.

Following experience will be considered as bonus:

1. Working with integrations via connectors/plugins, middleware (primsatic.io etc.) or custom implementations with 3rd party systems such OMS, ERP, CRM etc.
2. Evaluating 3rd party platforms & plugins that help achieve the implementation outcomes.
3. Experience of headless architecture.
