SQL Developer with ERP Experience

Job Description

We are looking for a SQL developer with ERP knowledge who will be responsible for writing/re-writing and optimizing SQL stored procedures and triggers. Additionally, you will design databases and ensure their stability, reliability, and performance. The developer will associate with an ERP team to enhance the application.

You will also work with other developers to optimize in-application SQL statements as necessary and establish best practices. You will help solve all database usage issues and provide ideas and advice to avoid such problems in the future.

SQL developers manipulate data, implement database-driven solutions, and build applications. They design relational databases and write code that interacts with stored data to meet functional requirements for a business.

Responsibilities

1. Excellent knowledge of SQL queries.
2. Strong proficiency in writing/re-writing and optimizing SQL stored procedures and triggers.
3. Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.
4. Prepare documentation and specifications.
5. Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
6. Profile server resource usage, and optimize and tweak as necessary.
7. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

1. Strong proficiency with SQL and its variations among popular databases.
2. Experience with modern relational databases.
3. Skilled at optimizing large, complicated SQL statements.
4. Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases.
5. Capable of configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters as necessary.
6. Ability to plan resource requirements from high-level specifications.
7. Capable of troubleshooting common database issues.
8. Familiar with tools that can aid in profiling server resource usage and optimizing it.
9. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN.
