Roles and Responsibilities

This leadership position is responsible for overseeing and enhancing our sports programs while leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive Physical Education curriculum. A strong background in sports management, education, and leadership will play a pivotal role in promoting physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:

    Develop a strategic vision for the sports department and Physical Education curriculum that aligns with the school's overall educational goals. Lead the planning and execution of sports events, tournaments, and inter-school competitions to showcase students' athletic achievements. Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate sports and physical education into the school's broader educational strategy.

  2. Sports Program Management:

    Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sports department, including staff management, budget allocation, and facility maintenance. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students participating in sports activities. Foster a positive and inclusive sports environment that encourages participation, skill development, and sportsmanship.

  3. Curriculum Development:

    Design, review, and enhance a comprehensive Physical Education curriculum that caters to different age groups and promotes physical fitness, motor skills, and healthy lifestyles. Integrate modern teaching methodologies, technology, and best practices to create engaging and effective PE classes.

  4. Staff Development:

    Recruit, train, and mentor sports coaches and Physical Education instructors to ensure they provide high-quality instruction and guidance to students. Conduct regular evaluations and provide feedback to staff members to enhance their teaching and coaching abilities.

  5. Community Engagement:

    Collaborate with parents, students, and community stakeholders to promote the importance of physical education and sports in a well-rounded education. Develop partnerships with local sports clubs, organizations, and institutions to provide additional opportunities for student engagement and development.

  6. Performance Evaluation:

    Monitor and assess the progress of students in sports activities and Physical Education classes, and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Analyze data and student feedback to identify areas for growth and tailor programs to meet students' needs and interests.

Skills Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in sports program management, preferably in an educational setting.
  3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  4. In-depth knowledge of sports coaching, training techniques, and curriculum development.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and staff.
  6. Understanding of safety protocols and risk management in sports and physical education environments.
  7. Passion for promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among students.
