Safa Community School is an award-winning all-through UK curriculum school, from FS1 to Year 13, with a strong commitment to student well-being and academic progress. We are currently in search of a dynamic and passionate Speech and Language Therapist to join our highly accomplished team.

Job Summary
As part of the Inclusion Team and wider school:

• Uphold the vision, ethos and policies of the school;
• Comply with requirements of schools' policies and relevant information for students, families and other stakeholders;
• Work collaboratively with the Inclusion Team;
• Work in a manner which contributes to the school continuing to deliver outstanding levels;
• Ensure parents are communicated with effectively about student progress;
• Ensure own behaviour and attitudes align with the school's values and culture;
• Carry out other duties within the wider context of the school as directed by the Principal or other members of SLT.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following:

• A relevant degree;
• A DHA licence or is eligible to apply for a DHA licence;
• At least five years therapy experience;
• The ability to coach and support families;
• A commitment to collaborating with other staff members and building strong relationships;
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection and the wider pastoral care of students in their care;
• Ability to contribute to wider school life outside the classroom in terms of extracurricular activities and school community events;
• Well-developed concentration, analytic, and reflection skills;
• Demonstrates ability to challenge appropriately;
• Remaining calm under pressure and provocation;
• Proficient IT skills in database, Word processing, PowerPoint, and email;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written;
• Effective negotiating, problem solving skills to gain commitment, confidence and compliance;
• Demonstrates an excellent student-centred approach;
• Proficient time management skills;
• Skills in collating and sharing data;
• Demonstrable professional levels of literacy and numeracy for report writing and recording.

• Submit a covering letter of no more than two A4 pages.

• Once initial interviews are concluded, arrangements will be made individually with those candidates who will proceed to the second round of interviews.
