Job description
Job Purpose

Manage the quality assurance initiatives and process for all functions in the company, focusing on core business operations to ensure continuous improvement, system integrity, and customer orientation in line with company strategies and policies. Design, update, and monitor all corrective actions and the consequences of process updates to eliminate or reduce non-conformities. Ensure that operational activities and services are consistent with the requirements of the Quality Operations Manual and industry regulations, in addition to ADNOC DISTRIBUTION Rules and Standards. Ensure that all applicable QMS/IMS requirements are fully implemented at all operational sections.

Job Specific Accountabilities

Quality Assurance & Audits
  1. Support all external and internal inspections performed by various agencies and regulators (IATA, GCAA, ADAC, Customers, ISO, Internal Audit, etc.) across the operations group, terminals, and fuel depots.
  2. Report inspection results and recommendations to management and ensure closure plans are set and completed within the agreed timeframe.
  3. Design, update, and monitor all corrective actions and the consequences of process updates to eliminate or reduce non-conformities.
  4. Carry out periodical inspections of Operations Facilities within the Company, including customers' facilities, as requested by Group Managers.
  5. Coordinate and facilitate Quality Assurance Audits and other external/internal audits and inspections. Report inspection results and recommendations to the Managers.
  6. Inspect different locations/job sites to ensure ISO Operational procedures are implemented and employees have the competencies to perform their jobs, as requested by Operations Managers.
  7. Assess and inspect existing systems to ensure all requirements are met in order to retain applicable certifications by external organizations such as ISO, OHSAS, JIG, etc.

Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving
  1. Investigate customer complaints and follow up on corrective/preventive actions, reporting to the Managers.
  2. Inspect different locations/job sites to ensure Operational procedures are implemented and employees have the competencies to perform their jobs, as requested.
  3. Recommend, monitor, and support continuous improvement through tools and methods for evaluating, identifying, and correcting any quality-affecting parameters.
  4. Investigate serious operational problems and suggest suitable solutions.
  5. Cooperate with the Training Section to continuously improve the Operations Training Manual. Provide training on a regular basis covering safety practices, incident investigations, safety leadership, risk assessment, and others.
  6. Ensure that all locations follow one HSE standard from technical and operational requirements.

Quality Management System
  1. Conduct and design training and awareness sessions for Quality Initiatives and ISO objectives, processes, and procedures to ensure aligned understanding among related employees.
  2. Consult on functions' compliance with the company's Document Management System (ADMS) and Record Management System in line with ISO 9001 requirements.
  3. Design and update the Record Management System's policies, file plans, record classification, record retention, and disposal in accordance with local regulations and company policy.

Minimum Qualification, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in quality management, preferably in the oil and gas retail industry.
  • ISO Certifications.
