Job description

Job Title: Specialist Project and Research

Job Objective:
Assist in the execution of programs and projects within UAE Accountability Authority (UAEAA) including but not limited to providing support to the execution of projects and initiatives, monitoring project execution, and reporting progress of projects and initiatives as per the approved strategic plan, to ensure effective and efficient execution of UAEAA strategies and operations.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  1. Strategy and Planning:
    Assist in the development, implementation, and update of the section related policy, procedures manual, delegation of authority, systems user manuals, and standard forms, and ensure alignment with UAEAA's overall policies and procedures.
  2. Assist in the development, implementation, and update of the section's strategic, budget and procurement, and operational plans, ensuring alignment with the department and sector's strategy and objectives, and UAEAA's mission and vision.
  3. Ensure to meet individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Operations:
    Assist in the planning and development of projects, research and initiatives to support UAEAA's overall objectives.
  5. Assist in the development of project plan to support the efficient execution of programs and projects.
  6. Assist in communicating with organizational units regarding project needs and status.
  7. Assist in the development of an integrated methodology for project management.
  8. Conduct project risk assessment to identify potential risks during project execution and mitigate those risks.
  9. Assist in developing and reviewing the guidelines and criteria to measure projects status as per the agreed timeframe.
  10. Assist in conducting internal awareness campaigns and workshops to cascade strategic and operational projects and initiatives throughout UAEAA's organizational units.
  11. Assist in conducting periodic review of the Corporate Performance Management Cycle by organizing meetings with UAEAA's organizational units to monitor and follow up the execution of the projects and initiatives.
  12. Assist in the preparation of UAEAA strategic and operational performance reports related to projects and initiatives in accordance with the approved plan for review and submission.
  13. Assist in analysing projects performance, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions in cooperation with UAEAA's organizational units; as well as assist in monitoring and following up of the implementation of corrective actions, and reflect progress on the strategic and operational performance reports.
  14. Support UAEAA's organizational units strategic and operational initiatives and assist in monitoring progress to ensure completion of projects as per the agreed timeframe.
  15. Conduct research studies related to UAEAA mandate that will support the execution of the strategy.
  16. Conduct benchmarking activities with other entities with similar mandates for better assessment of UAEAA's operational performance.
  17. Talent Management and Development:
    Ensure completion of required trainings and certification programs in order to keep current with job requirements and ensure continuous performance improvements.
  18. Obtain timely performance review assessments for midyear and annual performance review and ensure to meet the set KPIs.
  19. Keep current with updated information relevant to the role to ensure standard performance level is achieved.
  20. Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing to build internal capabilities of the team and maximize their effective performance.
  21. Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in line with the objectives of the Authority and its Emiratization strategy.
  22. Corporate:
    Ensure adherence and compliance with all UAEAA corporate policies, procedures and guidelines (HR, IT, Procurement, Finance, Health and Safety, etc.).
  23. Prepare section's related correspondence such as e-mails, memos, and letters to ensure professionalism, completeness and accuracy of information.
  24. Retain, document, preserve, and archive section's related physical and electronic records in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
  25. Respond to any section related queries and provide required support to relevant UAEAA's organizational units and employees as and when required.
  26. Utilize relevant technologies used within UAEAA in order to optimize work efficiency.
  27. Demonstrate compliance with UAEAA's values, Code of Business Conduct and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value driven culture within the Authority.
  28. Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
  29. Contribute to the preparation and submission of timely and accurate statements and reports to meet department requirements, and quality standards.
  30. Co-operate in the implementation of the relevant health and safety legislation, policies and procedures, in the performance of duties.
  31. General:
    The level of performance should reflect the academic qualification, type of courses in the field of specialization, employee job level, and the level of productivity.
  32. The academic and professional certificates required and approved by UAEAA should be acquired within the period specified and based on the employee's Individual Development Plan.
  33. Perform the task and responsibilities independently unless an approval or directive was obtained to delegate the task to other employees in case of incapability to perform the tasks and responsibilities.
  34. Ensure teamwork, collaboration, and dedication in performing duties.

Requirements Minimum

  1. Academic Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Strategy or Business Administration or relevant field.
  2. Professional Experience:
    0 - 3 Years of relevant experience.
  3. Language Proficiency:
    Proficiency in Arabic and English.
