We have an opening for Specialist/Lead BCM Role

Location: Abu Dhabi

Experience: 8+ years

Job Summary: The Business Continuity Manager will collaborate with department directors and the executive team to develop and implement plans to anticipate, address, and mitigate the effects of various business interruptions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Develops and maintains a business recovery plan and procedure; reviews, revises, and expands existing plans and protocols.
  2. Conducts risk assessments for various departments and functions, analyzing potential business impact of unpredictable business interruptions such as natural disasters, security breaches, legal claims, and market disruptions.
  3. Collaborates with IT staff to develop and implement best practices to protect and restore data and systems in the event of natural disasters, viruses, and hackers.
  4. Identifies and implements recovery operations and methods to allow the company to function at limited or partial capacity in the event that part or all of the infrastructure is damaged or destroyed.
  5. Creates and facilitates practice drills for plan execution.
  6. Develops and provides staff training on risk management and disaster recovery.
  7. Works with health, safety, and security staff and local, state, and federal agencies to align the organization's emergency management plan with established best practices and community standards.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, risk management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in business continuity management with a proven track record of success.
  3. Professional certifications in business continuity management, such as CBCP or MBCI, are highly desirable.
  4. Experience in developing and implementing business continuity plans and strategies within a complex organizational structure.
  5. Experience in conducting risk assessments and business impact analyses.
  6. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks related to business continuity management.
  7. Experience in leading and facilitating crisis management exercises and simulations.
  8. Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
