· Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including endoscopy, colonoscopy, and imaging studies.
· Diagnose and develop treatment plans for a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders.
· Perform endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy, with precision and attention to patient comfort.
· Administer appropriate medical treatments, medications, and therapeutic interventions.
· Collaborate with surgeons and other specialists when surgical intervention is necessary.
· Provide compassionate and empathetic patient care, ensuring clear communication and understanding of diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
· Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, dietary changes, and other measures to promote gastrointestinal health.
· Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
· Maintain open communication with referring physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
· Participate in regular case reviews, conferences, and contribute to the development of best practices within the gastroenterology department.
· Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, test results, and treatment plans.
· Ensure compliance with DHA regulatory standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
· Medical degree from an accredited institution.
· Board certification in Gastroenterology.
· Proven experience as a Gastroenterologist, with a focus on endoscopic procedures.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of advances in gastroenterology.
