KBR is looking for a Specialist Electrical Engineer to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Main Responsibilities

1. Supporting company manager in the onshore preparation and planning of the Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning integrated services.
2. Supporting company manager in the coordination of the Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning integrated services.
3. Promotes safety & quality to all personnel within the team.
4. Assist manager in execution and completion of checklists & test sheets and function test sheets & OTPs to the project format during execution.
5. Preparation and issue of the relevant progress reports & lists.
6. Supervise the day-to-day execution of the installation of all electrical equipment such as transformers, switchboards LV, cabling, UPS, electrical motors, etc., including those fitted as part of a unit.
7. Ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently in a competent manner and that adherence to the Permit to Work System is performed.
8. Organize and direct the Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning Electrical Supervisors and Technicians in the day-to-day Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities.
9. Execute and supervise testing as required by project specifications.
10. Ensuring correct compilation of all relevant certification to enact Ready for Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Ready for Start-Up status.
11. Compilation of punch lists in conjunction with the execution Contractor and Company.
12. Ensuring that the required as-built drawings as required by the project procedures are maintained and reviewed.
13. Carry out inspections, surveys, and checks to ensure pre and post electrical testing is as per project specifications including all ATEX certified equipment.
14. Ensure safety and security of all activities and workers under his control.
15. Provide input into the Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning Planning.
16. Interfacing of disciplines and third parties.
17. Maintaining equipment/system historic records.
18. Overall preparation, supervision & execution of all OTPs with associated documentary support.
19. Assist with the preparation of handover manuals and relevant tracking/filing of Commissioning reports.
20. Ensure supervision/execution of all the Electrical Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning activities as per project specification.
21. Maintain & update the master documentation.
22. Prepares and ensures pre-start-up activities supervision using Contractors Supervisors and Technicians.

Anticipated Roles and Responsibilities:

1. At least 15+ years’ experience in a similar position, essential has experience of ICAPS or similar proprietary completion systems.
2. Evidence of formal Electrical Engineering education.
3. Excellent written and verbal commissioning communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
4. Experience of multicultural project teams.
5. At least 5 years’ experience of Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning LNG facilities.
6. Experience of Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning and Start-Up of electrical facility equipment LV switchboard, distribution, UPS, electrical motors & PLCs, heat tracing, etc.
7. Experience and familiarity with ATEX certification and hold a valid certificate of training on ATEX certified equipment.
8. Experience of preparing all Pre-Procedural requirements for Company review and approval.
9. Identification of consumables/First Fills for Commission and Start-Up.
