Job description
  • Conduct thorough audits of spare parts inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement and logistics teams to forecast spare parts demand, optimizing inventory turnover and minimizing excess stock.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive databases for tracking spare parts usage, including trends and performance metrics to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to recommend innovative solutions for spare parts management.
  • Assist in formulating and implementing inventory control procedures, leveraging best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide expert advice to technical teams on spare parts selection, ensuring compatibility and efficiency in maintenance and repair processes.
  • Facilitate training sessions for staff on spare parts identification and management processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Act as a key liaison between suppliers and internal teams, negotiating pricing and delivery terms to secure favorable agreements.
  • Generate detailed reports on inventory levels, usage statistics, and audit findings, presenting actionable insights to senior management.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, capable of identifying trends and anomalies in inventory data.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven negotiation abilities, with experience in supplier management and contract negotiations.
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work in a multicultural environment; multilingual candidates are preferred.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier visits and industry events, as necessary.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
