Your Day to Day

As Spa Manager, you will be responsible for managing the spa operation to ensure quality service and standards while delivering a guest experience that is revitalizing, relaxing, and energizing. You will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations concerning health, safety, or other requirements.

Some of your main role responsibilities are:

1. Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans.
2. Monitor budget and control expenses, with particular focus on activity expenses.
3. Identify additional revenue opportunities to enhance revenue through chargeable events and activities.
4. Coordinate with Sales & Marketing to showcase the products and services effectively.
5. Effectively monitor and analyze variations from the budget in terms of revenues and cost of sales.
6. Work within the company’s Human Resource Management System to ensure the departmental performance of staff is productive.
7. Plan for staffing needs.
8. Recruit in line with company guidelines.
9. Prepare detailed orientation programmes for new colleagues.
10. Maintain a comprehensive, current and guest-focused set of departmental standards and procedures and oversee their implementation.
11. Ensure training needs analysis of your departmental staff is carried out and training programmes are designed and implemented to meet needs.
12. Deliver training.
13. Actively work at developing your direct reports and identify high potentials.
14. Plan bonus, commission, and incentive schemes for sales staff in accordance with the marketing budget and hotel standards.

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

1. Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification.
2. Qualifications in Spa Management from a reputable institute.
3. 3 to 5 years leadership, pre-opening experience of a luxury spa facility of a five-star resort.
4. Be highly fit, presentable, and well-groomed.
5. A natural salesperson with the ability to introduce and sell spa offerings and facilities.
6. Fluency in English, other languages preferred.
