Organization - Park Hyatt Dubai
Summary
Assists the Executive Pastry Chef in overseeing all pastry-related operations.
Ensures the preparation, presentation, and quality of baked goods, desserts, and pastries meet high standards.
Collaborates with Executive Pastry Chef to create and update the pastry menu.
Introduces innovative pastry ideas while maintaining consistency.
Supervises and participates in making desserts, pastries, breads, and confections.
Leads and guides pastry staff for efficient and timely production. Trains and mentors junior pastry chefs, provides feedback, and fosters creativity.
Manages inventory, orders ingredients, and monitors stock levels.
Ensures impeccable presentation and service of desserts.
Minimizes waste and optimizes ingredient usage to manage food costs.
Works with Executive Pastry Chef to keep pastry production within budget.
Qualifications
Culinary degree or equivalent pastry arts training.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a high-end pastry kitchen, preferably within a 5-star hotel or luxury dining establishment.
At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
Food safety certification or equivalent (preferred).
