Organization - Park Hyatt Dubai

Summary
  • Assists the Executive Pastry Chef in overseeing all pastry-related operations.
  • Ensures the preparation, presentation, and quality of baked goods, desserts, and pastries meet high standards.
  • Collaborates with Executive Pastry Chef to create and update the pastry menu.
  • Introduces innovative pastry ideas while maintaining consistency.
  • Supervises and participates in making desserts, pastries, breads, and confections.
  • Leads and guides pastry staff for efficient and timely production. Trains and mentors junior pastry chefs, provides feedback, and fosters creativity.
  • Manages inventory, orders ingredients, and monitors stock levels.
  • Ensures impeccable presentation and service of desserts.
  • Minimizes waste and optimizes ingredient usage to manage food costs.
  • Works with Executive Pastry Chef to keep pastry production within budget.
Qualifications
  • Culinary degree or equivalent pastry arts training.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a high-end pastry kitchen, preferably within a 5-star hotel or luxury dining establishment.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
  • Food safety certification or equivalent (preferred).
