Sous Chef
Minimum 1 year of practiced culinary experience as a Cook, leading teams as well as executing business method within main kitchen/ Banquet procedures.
Operational Obligations:
- Assigns & keeps an eye on tasks to younger chefs to fulfill wanted brand requirements and also quality assurance.
- Places orders and interacts with the procurement group in compliance if required.
- Displays the unit's sections productivity, provides support to junior cooks where required, escalates to kitchen area manager when necessary.
- Checks the group's orders, preparation, as well as stock of all needed usual active ingredients for assigned terminals.
- Assists and cross-checks accuracy of prepared products for dispatch to satellite kitchen area operations.
- Works with the Expense Control division as well as Kitchen area Manager to ensure precision in all areas of expenditure.
- Cross-checks scheduling requirements, interacts with seniors to ensure accurate team levels.
- Delegates and monitors tasks and jobs to junior cooks, ensuring dish cards are being complied with.
- Abides by and implements wellness codes and tidiness standards in the kitchen and food storage space locations.
- Examines production accuracy of junior chefs ensuring usage of accepted dish SOPs.
- Reviews and prepares existing manufacturing recipe SOPs for accuracy, findings rose to the required divisions.
- Reviews estimates of the daily production needs through accurate use of par levels by junior cooks.
- Checks the monitoring of waste and escalates findings as required.
- Anticipates and communicates shortages as well as 86 products to the Kitchen area Manager.
- Trains personnel through verbal and written methods where required.
- Carries out any other tasks as required by management.
- Ensures the required HACCP forms according to company and municipal standards are submitted properly by the teams.
- Maintains the highest possible standards of personal health.
- Attends training programs and conferences as and when called for.
