Sourcing Manager

We are supporting a leading conglomerate undergoing an exciting transformation, hiring a Sourcing Manager to lead and manage all relevant sourcing activities for the assigned category of spend. This role is critical in ensuring cost-effective, timely, and compliant procurement processes that align with group standards and department objectives.

You will be:

• Coordinating all required activities within the assigned category of spend to achieve the lowest possible total cost of acquisition/ownership while meeting business expectations in terms of quality and timelines.
• Ensuring full compliance of all sourcing activities with internal policies and procedures.
• Building relationships with internal stakeholders to proactively plan sourcing activities related to the assigned category of spend.
• Clarifying and negotiating the scope of work with internal stakeholders and translating requirements into Request for Information/Request for Proposals.
• Managing sourcing activities through the corporate e-sourcing platform as required, ensuring transparency, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Negotiating the best cost, terms, and conditions with shortlisted vendors and conducting quarterly vendor performance reviews.
• Approving purchase orders raised by team members and managing a team of sourcing specialists and procurement executives.
• Allocating activities/projects to team members, supervising execution, and ensuring compliance with group procurement processes and policies.
• Helping team members develop technical knowledge and best practices for the assigned spend category.

You will need:

• A graduate degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within a procurement function, ideally within the UAE in a centralized procurement model.
• Detailed technical understanding of the assigned commodity/category of spend.
• Outstanding relationship management skills (internal and external) and strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Market understanding of vendor capabilities, should costs, and supply chain dynamics.
• Experience with ERPs (preferably Oracle or JD Edwards) and SAP Ariba sourcing is desired.
• Fluency in English.
