Job Description

The primary role of the Solutions Presales Engineer is to provide consulting and operational support to the Sales team. The right person works in close partnership with the Business Development Managers and Director to achieve successful presentation of the company’s solutions to the market. He proposes and designs the solutions/products and provides product(s) related business, technical, or operational pre-sales support worldwide. In addition to this role, he is also responsible for Technical User Trainings, as well as Documentation Work within the Organization.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

1. Provide pre-sales technical support to colleagues requiring assistance with equipment, hardware, or service configurations and functionality. When required, liaise directly with customers or prospective customers in relation to the same.
2. Perform a technical lead role in the review and response of RFP/RFI documents.
3. Conduct Technical Demos for the offered Products and Services to Customers.
4. Write technical specifications and make appropriate recommendations.
5. Attend customer meetings in order to deliver technical content and presentations.
6. Conduct, review and document site surveys and Customer prerequisites.
7. Be an escalation point for project managers and installation engineers of previously done projects.
8. Have an advanced understanding of how voice and data communication equipment, hardware, and services work.
9. Participate in the Technical Handover of project from the Implementation team to the Customers. This will involve the creation of documentation to include all elements of the Project/Amendments.
10. Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with those contacted during the course of work.
11. Conduct User Training for End Customers as part of User Training and Handover of Projects.
12. Responsible for creating, amending, and maintaining documentation for all Projects as well as Operational Elements for the Organization.
13. At times, it may be necessary to provide the relevant training on the use and functionality of hardware, equipment, and services to customers and other relevant third parties.
14. Complete required training for the post and strive to meet other development objectives.
15. Responsible (if applicable) for maintaining any technical or professional qualifications required for the post.
16. Perform any other or additional duties as dictated by the needs of the business.

Qualification and Experience

Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Science in IT or Equivalent with 3 to 5 Years of Hands-on Experience in the Area of IT, Networking & Telecommunication. Effective communication & presentation skills. UAE driving License Mandatory.
