Solution Architect

The purpose of the Solution Architect role is to lead and drive the design and development of technology solutions for digital platforms, focusing on digital channels (Web & Mobile), offers, orders, customer management, personalization, and payment systems. This position requires providing thought leadership and strategic direction to influence the overall roadmap with value-generating initiatives. The role involves collaboration with business stakeholders and internal/external development teams to ensure solution designs align with regulatory demands, architectural standards, business requirements, budgets, and IT strategy.

• Develop design and architecture for implementing AD Airports websites, mobile, social, and other e-commerce applications following agile architecture principles and standards.
• Provide holistic and connected solution designs that align with business strategy and requirements.
• Create and maintain the Architecture Runway for digital technologies, driving the transformation of digital channels and platforms.
• Ensure effective implementation of solution and technology architecture standards, governance, and principles.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with technology roadmaps, business capability models, and organizational strategy.
• Build strong relationships with partners and team members, facilitating the development of strategies, solutions, business cases, and white papers.
• Consult with product and project delivery teams on applying new or existing technologies to support business initiatives and innovation.
• Actively participate in improving the maturity of architecture practices by evaluating and updating patterns, standards, and policies.
• Support business units with solutions to enhance customer acquisitions, upsells/cross-sells, and self-service capabilities.
• Work with domain architects to define and integrate reusable digital experience capabilities across various channels.
• Collaborate with Data and Integration architects to drive contextual and real-time offers for customers.
• Design and deploy large-scale, high-performance web applications using agile delivery and CI/CD practices.
• Sign off on the Statement of Work and integration specifications, collaborating with vendors on design alignment.
• Accountable for scoping the go-live solution and ensuring adherence to design timelines.
• Define implementation phases and hand over to implementation teams.
• Author the technical scope of work for selected vendors and contribute to defining non-technical scope.
• Serve on the Design Authority, formalizing the approval process for high-level designs and deliverables.
• Ensure delivery teams adhere to designs and architecture captured in the Enterprise Architecture (EA) repository.
  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant advanced degree is mandatory.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Solution and Technology Architecture, with at least 5 years in aviation and a proven track record in executing complex IT projects.
• One or more certifications in Solution and/or Enterprise Architecture (e.g., Well-Architected Framework, SAFe Architect, TOGAF) are desirable.
• Experience in identifying technology solutions to expand channel footprint and penetration rates for unassisted and partner channels.
• Proven experience in digital transformation projects, including scoping minimum viable products and architectures.
• Strong knowledge of digital solutions that drive customer engagement, penetration, and revenue on digital channels.
• Development experience with languages and frameworks such as Java, Scala, Python, Spring, Angular, HTML5, CSS3.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., hybris), self-service applications, omni-channel solutions, and mobile app development.
• Experience with API management platforms and integration technologies (e.g., Mulesoft, AWS Gateway).
• Understanding of enterprise architecture, service-oriented architecture, and microservices.
• Ability to deliver integrated and multi-channel solutions effectively.
