Job title/position: Solar O&M Lead Engineer M/F

Your Mission

This position is a unique opportunity to be involved in Distributed Generation (rooftops) solar projects and perform O&M activities at multiple sites in Dubai.

Technical Responsibilities

1. Plan and supervise solar panels cleaning teams (using robots and manual brushes)
2. Monitor daily multiple sites power generation on online monitoring system (VCOM - Meteo Control)
3. Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics and fault findings of critical equipment (inverters, LV room panels,…) when necessary
4. Carry out routine preventive maintenance of electrical and solar equipment according to schedules, check lists and specific equipment requirements.
5. Perform equipment and cables testing in accordance with requirements or tests schedules.
6. Plan annual shutdowns and major equipment turnarounds
7. Carry out complete overhaul of Electrical equipment
8. Prepare BOM of modifications works (DC cables replacement, Inverters replacement,…)
9. Plan, organize and supervise modifications works (DC cables replacement, Inverters replacement,…)

Reporting and Documentation Responsibilities

1. Prepare each site's Method Statements for cleaning, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and modifications/upgrade activities
2. Prepare Monthly Client's HSE and O&M reports
3. Fill up work orders and service reports on CMMS
4. Management system documentation, policies, procedures.

HSE Responsibilities

1. Carry out tool box talks and follow Client's and Company's HSE requirements
2. Prepare Permit to Work as per requirements of each site
3. Strict adherence to Site Safety Procedures
4. Maintain history cards for the electrical equipment.
5. Responsible for the support of Company Safety, Environment and Quality policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to the job.

Your Profile

You have graduated in Electrical engineering with a minimum experience of 5 years in solar projects. You have previous experience in PV Solar systems (construction + O&M). You are fluent in English. You have good problem-solving skills, interpersonal and organizational skills. You have a good level of computer literacy and are proficient in Microsoft Office. A driving license (manual gear) is required.

Following certifications are a plus:

• Solar PV expert certification by DEWA
• Solar Power System Maintenance and Troubleshooting
• Work at height Scaffold inspector

Candidate Criteria

Minimum experience: 6 years or more

Working language(s): English (C-Professional working proficiency)
