Software Support Engineer

Responsibilities

1. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software applications and systems.
2. Assist customers in resolving software-related issues through phone, email, or remote desktop support.
3. Analyze and diagnose software problems reported by clients and suggest appropriate solutions.
4. Collaborate with the development team to escalate complex issues and prioritize bug fixes.
5. Document support tickets, resolutions, and customer interactions in the ticketing system.
6. Conduct software testing and quality assurance to ensure a smooth user experience.
7. Train end-users on software functionalities, features, and best practices.
8. Stay up-to-date with software updates, patches, and new technologies to deliver effective support.
9. Contribute to knowledge base articles and FAQs for internal and external use.
10. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
3. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
5. Previous experience in software support or a similar role is preferred.
