Software Engineer - Risk Analytics

Urgent Job Opportunity! We're seeking a skilled Software Engineer specializing in Risk Analytics to join a major financial institution in Switzerland.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to drive business analysis and develop robust solutions using SQL Server, .NET technologies, SSIS, SSRS, PowerBI, and Python.

Responsibilities:

1. Business Analysis:
   • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements for innovative risk analytics solutions.
2. Data Architecture and Development:
   • Design and optimize risk analytics data architecture using SQL Server, including T-SQL database design and optimization.
   • Develop efficient ETL processes and workflows using SSIS and Python, ensuring data integrity and reliability through advanced monitoring and error handling mechanisms.
3. Analytics and Reporting:
   • Create compelling visualizations and reports using SSRS and PowerBI, providing actionable insights to drive informed decision-making.
4. Continuous Improvement:
   • Identify opportunities for enhancements to optimize performance and efficiency.
   • Maintain comprehensive documentation of solutions, processes, and workflows to ensure transparency and scalability.

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in IT Engineering or Computer Sciences or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in software engineering with a focus on risk analytics or related fields.
3. Proficiency in SQL Server, including T-SQL for database development and optimization.
4. Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and Python for ETL processes and scripting.
5. Strong proficiency in .NET (C#) for developing applications and system integration.
6. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as SSRS and PowerBI.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in complex environments.
8. Collaborative mindset with the capacity to work independently on projects.
9. Fluent in English; additional languages or industry-specific knowledge is advantageous.
