SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

POSITION SUMMARY

Spinneys, the UAE's leading premium food retailer, is looking for a team player, with a can-do attitude, an eye for detail and able to apply their skills in a prompt & practical manner as SOFTWARE DEVELOPER.

ORGANIZATIONAL FIT

This person reports directly to the SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

1. Relevant Qualification: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
2. Experience: minimum 7-8 years of experience in core Python development using Django Framework.
3. Experience in Wagtail CMS and Django Oscar.
4. Knowledge of Django fundamentals like middleware, REST APIs, and serializers.
5. Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and MySQL.
6. Understanding of Agile Methodology of development.
7. Experienced in application deployment on Azure server.
8. Problem-solving aptitude, responsive, and good communication skills.
9. Pro-active, analytical ability, and quick learner.
10. Understanding of code-repository tools like GIT, VSS, or Tortoise SVN.
11. Experience in at least one front-end technology such as Angular, Vue, or React JS.
12. Good command in English.
13. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to simplify or articulate matters logically and manage stakeholders effectively.
14. Highly responsive and strong team player, as well as having the ability to work independently.
15. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
