Key Tasks

  1. Develop and implement social media strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and marketing objectives.
  2. Oversee and lead the social media team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development.
  3. Collaborate with senior leadership to set social media goals and KPIs, and report on performance regularly.
  4. Create and manage social media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  5. Identify and capitalise on emerging social media trends and technologies to keep the company at the forefront of digital innovation.
  6. Build and maintain relationships with clients, including influencers, media partners, and industry leaders.
  7. Oversee social media advertising campaigns, ensuring they are effectively targeted and optimised for maximum ROI.
  8. Develop crisis management plans for social media, and lead response efforts during any issues or controversies.
  9. Work closely with the marketing, tech and creative teams to ensure cohesive and integrated campaigns.
  10. Build a culture of creativity and innovation within the social media team.
  11. Be accountable for your team to submit timesheets on a daily basis and work with the Finance and Client Servicing teams to ensure projects are tracked properly.

Key Skills & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field required.
  2. 8+ years of experience in social media marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  3. Understands research principles and ability to implement insights into content plans and strategies.
  4. Demonstrated success in developing and executing large-scale social media strategies.
  5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team (executives, content creators, and designers).
  6. Excellent client management and relationship building skills.
  7. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  8. Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  9. Must be able to develop strategy presentations, reports, and audit documents following brand standards.
  10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
  11. Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  12. Experience with social media content management, reporting, and listening tools.
  13. Experience with social media advertising and performance measurement tools.
  14. Highly organised and able to handle multiple deadline-driven projects and workflows.

Bonus Skills

  1. Arabic is preferred but not mandatory.
  2. GCC/MENA experience is preferred.
  3. Experience in e-sports, retail, tech, travel, and government sectors.
  4. Demonstrable understanding of email marketing, lead generation, and SEO.
  5. CRM and content marketing is a plus.
  6. Capability to work with AI tools to improve work efficiency.
  7. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and other creative tools are a plus.
