Social Media/Content Creator/Copy Writer

Job Summary
The Content Creator / Social Media Manager / Copywriter is responsible for developing, curating, and managing the brand's online presence through engaging content across multiple platforms. This includes creating compelling visuals, writing persuasive copy, and maintaining an active social media presence to drive customer engagement and enhance brand visibility in the hospitality or restaurant industry. The role requires a passion for food, hospitality, and storytelling to connect with customers both online and offline.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Content Creation Strategy:
    • Develop and execute content strategies for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
    • Produce high-quality and engaging written, visual, and video content that aligns with the brand's voice and target audience.
    • Capture and create on-brand photos, videos, and other creative assets showcasing food, events, and the dining experience.
    • Write compelling captions, blog posts, and social media copy to promote menu items, events, special promotions, and brand stories.
    • Manage content calendars, ensuring consistency in messaging and timeliness of posts.
  2. Social Media Management:
    • Manage daily posting across social media platforms, maintaining engagement and communication with followers.
    • Respond to customer comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and professional manner.
    • Use social media analytics tools to track the effectiveness of campaigns, measure engagement, and adjust content strategy as needed.
    • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, platforms, and tools, integrating new features and ideas into content plans.
  3. Brand Storytelling Copywriting:
    • Write persuasive copy for menus, advertisements, email newsletters, and press releases.
    • Develop stories around the brand, including restaurant history, chefs, seasonal offerings, and behind-the-scenes content.
    • Ensure the voice, tone, and message are consistent across all channels, both online and offline.
    • Create email marketing campaigns, promotions, and special offers to drive traffic and sales.
  4. Collaboration Influencer Engagement:
    • Work closely with the marketing team to align content with broader brand campaigns and objectives.
    • Partner with influencers, food bloggers, and content creators to amplify the restaurant's brand presence.
    • Organize influencer or community-driven events that engage local audiences and promote brand awareness.
  5. SEO Digital Marketing:
    • Optimize content for SEO, improving search engine visibility and driving organic traffic to the restaurant's website.
    • Use relevant hashtags and keywords to increase content reach and discoverability.
    • Implement paid social campaigns (e.g., Instagram or Facebook Ads) to boost restaurant visibility and promotions.
  6. Analytics Reporting:
    • Track the performance of all content and social media campaigns using analytics tools like Google Analytics, Instagram Insights, and others.
    • Provide regular reports on content engagement, growth, and other relevant KPIs to help refine strategies.
    • A/B test content strategies to optimize engagement and conversions.
  7. Event Promotion Marketing Support:
    • Create content to promote special events, seasonal menus, or limited-time offers (e.g., holiday menus, new dish launches, or themed events).
    • Work with the events team to ensure seamless promotion of upcoming in-house activities and dining experiences.
  8. Photography Videography:
    • Capture high-quality, visually appealing photos and videos of food, guests, ambiance, and events.
    • Edit and enhance photos to maintain a polished, professional look for all marketing materials.
  9. Customer Engagement Community Building:
    • Build and maintain an active and engaged online community, fostering positive customer relationships through interactive content.
    • Run polls, Q&As, contests, or giveaways to engage the audience and encourage user-generated content.

Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Hospitality, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in content creation, social media management, copywriting, or a similar role, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  3. Skills:
    • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
    • Proficiency in social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
    • Expertise in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva, etc.) and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
    • Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.).
    • Creative thinker with a strong understanding of visual aesthetics and storytelling.
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Familiarity with food photography and video production is a plus.
  4. Personal Attributes:
    • Passion for food, dining experiences, and the hospitality industry.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to experiment with new trends and content formats.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Working Conditions

  1. Work Hours: Full-time position, typically during business hours, with flexibility for evenings and weekends depending on content needs (e.g., special events, new menu launches).
  2. Location: On-site presence at the restaurant(s) or hospitality establishment with occasional remote work flexibility.
  3. Travel: Occasional travel for events, influencer partnerships, or food photography shoots.
