Job Description

1. Site supervision and Execution:

• Monitor daily construction activities and ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and laborers to ensure smooth workflow.
• Ensure proper implementation of construction techniques and methodologies.

2. Quality Control & Assurance:

• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct tests on materials (such as concrete, soil, and steel) and maintain quality records.
• Identify defects and recommend corrective actions.

3. Project Planning & Coordination:

• Work closely with project managers, architects, and MEP engineers to ensure seamless execution.
• Assist in preparing construction schedules and tracking progress against project milestones.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely material delivery.

4. Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and implement site safety measures.
• Conduct safety briefings and enforce the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Report and investigate any safety incidents or near misses.

5. Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain site records, including daily progress reports, material usage, and workforce details.
• Assist in preparing BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and verifying contractor invoices.
• Provide regular updates to senior engineers and management.

6. Problem-Solving & Decision Making:

• Identify and resolve site-related challenges, such as design conflicts, material shortages, and unforeseen obstructions.
• Propose value-engineering solutions to optimize cost and efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, particularly steel erection, foundation works, and finishing.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting project drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
