Due to our continuing expansion we now require an experienced Site Resident Engineer to work on a variety of construction projects.

Working in a multidiscipline team of designers and engineers providing a comprehensive service to our clients, this is a great opportunity to gain experience within an internationally renowned consultant, affording the opportunity to work on large and small scale multidiscipline projects, in the UAE and potentially the rest of the Middle East region.

Job Summary

To manage and implement all aspects of the Quality I HSE management systems and control site supervision service provision in support of the Site Operations Department goals for performance improvement and completion of project functions.

  3. Sites Commercial Manager (SCM)
  4. Sites HSE Manager (SHSEM)
  5. Sites Quality Manager (SQM)
  6. Site Area Manager (SAM)
  7. Site Head of Disciplines (SHOOs)
  8. Design Project Manager (DPM)
  9. Site Contract Administrator (SCA)
  10. Site Supervision Team

Key Responsibilities

  1. Follow up mobilisation and de-mobilisation arrangements at site.
  2. Keep, monitor and follow up as necessary and complete records concerning the execution of the works.
  3. Ensure the main contractor and nominated MEP contractor coordinate with all concerned Authorities Departments and ensure that their requirements are adequately and satisfactorily incorporated.
  4. Extend the maximum possible effort to avoid contractor(s) claims for cost and/or delay.
  5. Review and forward with any comments all submittals including contractor design drawings, shop drawings, materials and alternative proposals submitted by contractors for all disciplines. Monitor office turnaround, follow up as necessary and issue.
  6. Liaison with and coordination of all technical disciplines.
  7. Hold Site Technical Coordination Meetings to discuss Contractor(s) submissions, Shop Drawings and construction related matters.
  8. Attend Progress Meeting with the Client, Contractor(s), Project Manager (Employer Representative) to monitor the progress of work against the approved programme.
  9. Inspect the work done by the contractor(s) to ascertain that work is proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents and accepted practice.
  10. Issue to the Contractor(s) the necessary orders and instructions to execute the works in accordance with the Contract Documents. Instruct contractor(s) in writing to take corrective measures to rectify any defective works and/or materials. Note any instruction with financial implication must be consulted with the Client/Project Manager (Employer's Representative).
  11. Prepare, coordinate with Client/Project Manager (Employer's Representative) and head office and issue in a timely manner any information required by the contractor for the proper interpretation of the works designed by Atkins.
