Job description

To deliver & integrate all Project planning activities and deliverables for oil and gas EPC projects. Responsible for delivery of standard consistent and realistic project plans reflecting the assessed risk parameters for each project.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare the Master and Construction schedule.
  • Generate Monthly (MPR), Weekly (WPR), and Daily (DPR) reports on operational activities.
  • Develop an internal schedule to identify & track the major milestones to achieve the project completion date.
  • Generate analysis reports, S-curve narrative reports for client & management review.
  • Monitor and update project schedule on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Establish Progress Measurement System (PMS) & prepare Deliverable Status Registers.
  • Coordinate work between inter-discipline and subcontractors.
  • Identify risks & plan risk responses.
  • Plan and coordinate materials & resources.
  • Conduct critical path analysis.
  • Prepare Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Develop and update resource histogram weekly or monthly as required.
  • Prepare project cash flow & actual comparison.
  • Prepare look ahead schedule.
  • Study and analyze planned progress vs actual progress.
  • Prepare recovery schedule to catch up the completion date.
  • Prepare Progress Payment Certificate (PPC) and Request for Invoice (RFI).
  • Review subcontractor PPC and invoices.
  • Prepare tender schedule.
  • Conduct project costing.
  • Execute all cost control aspects of the project.
  • Maintain the cost trend register and prepare monthly forecasts and variance logs.
  • Collect and arrange construction cost data and establish a sound expense filing system and database.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely project cost reports verifying cost performance against plan and identifying areas of potential budget overrun and implementing corrective action.
  • Calculate man hours of each project and evaluate budget manhours vs actual manhours.
  • Produce Project Planning closeout report and productivity calculation, preparation of project claims for extension of time (EOT).
  • Plan manpower.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's in Engineering in Electrical / Instrumentation or any other equivalent discipline.

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
  • Certificate in Primavera and MS Projects.

Additional Information :

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-6 years of overall experience in handling EPC Oil & Gas Projects.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Planning / Project Control / Project Management.
  • Hands-on experience in Primavera P6 and MS Projects.
  • Commercial awareness/understanding of project financing/cost control principles.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good health, environment, and safety management (HSE) knowledge and the ability to manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously.
