The purpose of a Site Manager in construction is to oversee and manage all aspects of a construction project onsite ensuring that the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Site Manager ensures that construction activities run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and manage all onsite activities for villa and residential building projects ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered according to plans and specifications.
Lead and manage the onsite construction team including foremen, laborers, and subcontractors ensuring compliance with safety regulations and work quality.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Manage site materials, equipment, and labor to optimize productivity and ensure the efficient use of resources.
Provide regular progress reports to senior management and the client highlighting any potential issues or delays.
Enforce safety protocols on site ensuring all personnel adhere to safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Address any technical issues that arise during the construction process and ensure that all work complies with local building codes and standards.
Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and manage costs to avoid overruns and ensure profitability.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing building construction projects (villas and residential buildings) in the UAE.
Familiarity with UAE building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage large teams and multiple stakeholders.
Ability to resolve onsite challenges and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
In-depth understanding of the local market including suppliers, labor laws, and regulatory bodies in the UAE.
