Site Engineer - MEP
Job description
1. Project Management:
- Plan, manage, and oversee all MEP activities on the construction site.
- Ensure alignment with project schedules, budgets, and specifications.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
2. Team Leadership:
- Lead a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians for MEP works.
- Conduct regular meetings, toolbox talks, and progress reviews.
- Train, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve project goals.
3. Coordination and Liaison:
- Coordinate MEP activities with civil, structural, and other teams.
- Liaise with project managers, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth communication.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers for timely delivery of services and materials.
4. Quality Control and Assurance:
- Monitor MEP installation and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Implement quality control measures and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Conduct inspections and approve work at various stages of the project.
5. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and company policies.
- Identify risks and implement measures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments for MEP operations.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of daily site activities and progress reports.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on work status, issues, and milestones.
- Ensure proper documentation for testing, commissioning, and handover.
Qualifications :
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Additional certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or MEP systems are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP works within oil and gas construction.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale projects and multidisciplinary teams.
